Michiko lives in a middle-class family of three, her mother, father and herself. She has lived a normal and happy childhood, and did not have that many serious problems as a child. As she was growing up, Michiko loved to dance and sing, and admired idols for their radiance and how they made people happy, but was scared to show other people her singing and dancing and had stage fright. So instead, she just focused more on playing piano and guitar, rather thank singing and dancing, but still practiced it when she is alone.
In middle school, Michiko continued to play instruments, while singing and dancing in private. She wanted to get closer to the idol world, and started designing clothes for idols in her sketchpad. But one day, her best friend, Sharine Kurogami, saw Michiko practicing as an idol, her friend supported her and told her about some idol schools nearby. At first, when Michiko found out that Sharine was watching her and supporting her, she was quite scared and worried at first, but her confidence grew and the two of them tried to look for idol auditions for schools.
They first found Sugar Academy and Michiko signed up and passed the audition to the school during her first year of high school. During that first year, she made her brand official, and the brand was called Rockin' Happiness. She did auditions and enjoyed being and idol, and still played instruments as a hobby. But before going into her second year, Sharine recommends Michiko to go to Moon Rise Academy as well. Michiko agreed to what she said and auditioned for the school.
